Verifying photo ID at point of offer
Please Note: if a property is delayed due to major/minor works DO NOT offer the property as they will not be considered for other properties in the meantime. A member can only be offered one property at any one time and until they have accepted or rejected that offer, any future bids will show as offered elsewhere.
Please Note: The CBL section on the Locata video page has a video of the Trust ID Overview
Proof of ID & Validation
If the partner has the Proof of ID & Validation process, we can check the customers ID at point of offer. Either by checking it as pre-verified or passing it for validation in, real time, to check the ID is valid.
Now that we have uploaded Proofs of ID on the journal, we can use them in the process.
When you click on the offer button a pop up will display asking the officer to select the household member and type of ID.
You can only verify one household member at a time, so once the Main applicant has been validated you can then request another.
Note: for driving license and identity card options you will need to upload a copy of the back and front of the ID before you can submit for validation.
If an applicant does not have any ID to verify, the officer can set the ‘Allow offer without photo ID validation’ and then click ‘offer’ and continue to work the shortlist.
If ID is stored in the journal of the customer officer the ID type and a list of journal attachments of image uploads will display. Officers can view the image before they select and submit.
Once you click submit you will see the pop up below showing the ID has been sent, and the person who submitted the ID’s will receive the results by email once complete.
You will not be able to work the shortlist until the validation is complete. (results can be returned as within 10 minutes)
This is an example of the email received confirming the photo ID has passed validation
Officers can click the link in the email to return to the shortlist to either offer the property or upload another photo ID from the same household.
A message will be returned saying that the Photo ID was submitted from the journal and was either valid or not. if it was valid you can continue with the offer.
You will see a show details button which allow you to view a detailed report or if you click on view as we have here an image of the ID will appear
If you want to view a more then click on Download report and you will get the complete validation report as shown below.
If the validation was not successful you can upload another ID type for the applicant or upload for another member of the household using the same method.
Only once ID has been confirmed can you offer the property.
The outcome of the ID validation will show as a journal entry in the customers record.
