Locata CBL Introduction

Welcome to the Locata online help system.

Browse through the help pages by either searching or selecting pages on the entry page.

The Lettings Manager is a web-based system and is a fully hosted system. Locata takes applicant and property details from the current HMS systems or manages a reregistration process and carries out the processing of assessment and matching people to properties. This means staff use the systems they are familiar with and can focus on providing a first class lettings service.

The process breaks down into a number of discrete steps.

The Users Guides in this section will show users how to access and use the Locata system and they will cover all of the topics you will need to get the best use of the system.

Locata prides itself on the fact that its systems are highly adaptable and can be tailored to different requirements based on local needs. This means that each scheme now has unique elements and some sections in this Help site may refer to functions that you do not currently have but are used in other local authorities. It is also highly likely that the images we have used have been taken from the back office of a different council’s housing team and do not completely reflect the way your screen looks. However, we believe the Help site provides useful information on the fundamentals of how your Locata system works and should allow you to solve most issues you may face. The creation of the property adverts for applicants to bid on, publication of freesheets, acceptance of bids and ultimate offers of property is a simple process with the LocataPro Lettings Manager.

Please Note: The following pages describes some of the pages you may see in your own back office others will be similar but different in the detail. They will do the same process, however they may be named or organised differently dependant on the scheme. The system is flexible and configurable to specific schemes and their choice and not all functionality may be present in your own scheme, the pages all perform and act in the same way so processes may vary.
